Often the difference between Excavating, Leveling and Grading can be confused but essentially and from a simplistic standpoint, the difference comes from the order in which they are needed on most jobs.

Excavating is a service that is offered prior to us pouring our concrete. This is the removal of soil from the site down to the appropriate depth for the requirements of that specific jobs.

Leveling is about ensuring the ground is either flat or at least structured properly from the specific requirement of the job. This can mean plumb walls, square angles, or flat surfaces.

The grading is usually done after the completion of the job. This is where we ensure the slope and degree of the area is properly set to allow for the best drainage of water or usage of the site for it's purpose.
