Ashlar Stamped Concrete patterns come in a variety of different textures that all show a slightly different look.
These ashlar stamp pads that are used by Stallion Concrete in Calgary have the texture built into the pattern stamp. So there is no need to do a texture and stamp separately.
The patterns come in 3 slightly different variations which allows for a pattern that provides a bit of randomness while still creating a uniform look throughout the concrete project.
Ashlar Concrete Stamps are one of the most common stamps used for patios and driveways in Calgary.
Some of these stamps also come in different sizes. If you don't see the size you prefer below, please contact us.
Tumbled Travertine Ashlar Versailles creates an amazing looking, hand-cut edge look for a natural stone appearance on your patio or walkway. By adding another colour to the pattern lines as a grout, you can really showcase a natural stone appearance that is hard to distinguish as concrete. The benefit, especially in Calgary, is getting the stone paver look without the effort or damage caused from our extreme chinook weather differences.
Large Ashlar New England Slate is the same as the normal Ashlar New England Slate but it is just a larger stone pattern. Meaning, each "brick" is physically larger than most other Ashlar stamps. Not only are the stones larger, but so are the lines between stone which for certain applications allows it to be grouted which then provides a nearly indistinguishable look for actual laid stone.
English Ashlar is very similar to the Tumbled but instead has a much cleaner cut line. Unlike most Ashlar stamps, you will notice that there are much smaller stone pieces added to the pattern which gives it a much older, classic, hand-laid look.
Ashlar Yorkstone is a similar pattern of stone to most Ashlar stamps but ads a very veined yet flat texture along with it. This is great for areas where you want a smoother concrete but also want the ashlar look. The lined between stones in the pattern are very thin and very tight.
Ashlar Roman Slate is definitely one of the more popular patterns of Ashlar. The lines are very clean and the texture is perfect for single color pours. The texture is a medium depth texture that is still good on the bare feet but also provides a good amount of traction, especially when wet. Ashlar patterns are perfect for providing a natural stone look but also maintaining the benefits of a solid concrete foundation instead of a floating paver system.
Ashlar Old Granite is by far one of the more popular stamped concrete patterns. People love the pattern, especially when used with Antiquing finishing. This is a smaller stone pattern. If you want a larger stone pattern the Yorkstone or New England Slate is a better option.
The most popular Ashlar pattern is the New England Slate. The bricks are a very nice, symmetrical size and the texture is detailed and very natural looking. Not only is this one of the most common stamps for Ashlar, but it is also one of the most common stamps used on patios in Calgary.
