Exposed Aggregate

Exposed Aggregate is a luxurious step up from brushed concrete. Most commonly you see exposed aggregate finishing on modern driveways or steps as it is a great option to resist surface damages that may commonly occur over time with a bushed finish.

While exposed aggregate is a very durable product, it does also require proper sealing and maintenance to keep it long lasting.

Made popular in higher priced homes with front drives, exposed aggregate is now a very popular and luxurious look that can be a great addition to any home. The exposed rock is also great for walk ways to help eliminate the risk of slipping on wet concrete.

While the exposed aggregate option is great for high traffic and drives, it is not as good for patios if the plan is to be barefoot. While some do enjoy the barefoot aggregate feel and see it as a massage to the bottom of your feet, more commonly a brushed or stamped option is ideal for patios.

At Stallion Concrete, we only do exposed aggregate properly and do not use an adhesive product to surface coat the stone on the concrete. We order a special mix with rounded stone and properly prepare the surface during the pouring for exposed aggregate and then pressure wash to finish before sealing.
