Antiquing Walnut Colour is a most commonly used to create depth and shadows in textured and stamped concrete.
This colour is especially great if you are doing a timber look or wood stamped concrete. This colour is heavier than water, and when applied after the stamp with water, the colouring will settle in the deep grains providing a depth and realism to the wood stamp.
When used with other colours to bring out the highlights or normal tones of the wood, a very strong, deep and realistic look is achieved. Once sealed, it can be hard to distinguish between concrete and hydrophobically treated wood.
All antiquing colours require the use of a sealant to lock in the colour. Keep in mind, that depending on the luster or type of sealant you may get a slightly varied clour from what is expected.
It is important with all concrete colours, that you keep an open mind to what the end colouring may be. There are a lot of factors that can determine the end result.

ANTIQUE RELEASE COLOURING is used as a bond breaker in the stamping process. It is a dust-on powder with water repellent properties that helps prevent wet concrete
from adhering to the polyurethane texture mat. Anitque release colouring is also used as a colouring agent, leaving a portion of the colour, usually darker than the
concrete colour, embedded in the low points of the newly textured concrete. This product should be broadcast in thin, even coats that overlap just enough to produce
a uniform layer on the slab surface. Release powder can be thrown by hand or with a 6” mason’s brush. Stamping can begin as soon as the release agent is applied.
Removal is accomplished by brushing then rinsing with a garden hose spray nozzle, light pressure wash, scrubbing, or buffing. Remove only enough to achieve desired antique effect.
